Kenny Rogers is at #1 for a 2nd consecutive week with his smash "Lady", from his #1 pop and country album "Greatest Hits"
He would eventually spend 4 consecutive weeks at #1 on the adult contemporary chart and 6 consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 during November 1980.

The Rolling Stones spend their 2nd of 4 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Honky Tonk Women".  
This would be the #4 song on the Year End Billboard Top 100 songs.

Johnny Cash in the midst of a monster year with his song "A Boy Named Sue" and the album "Live at San Quentin".  He reached #2 on the Hot 100, #1 on the Country and Easy Listening Chart.

From the album "Winner in You", which was the first platinum album for Labelle and became the #1 R&B song of 1986.
The song reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 3 weeks and # 1 on the Billboard R&B chart in May/June for 4 consecutive weeks. They also peaked at #2 on the AC chart and UK singles.

Ronnie Milsap - Pioneer Award ACM Awards 2002

Legendary country music star Ronnie Milsap was honored in 2002 with the ACM Pioneer Award.
A well deserved honor that sometimes is given after the passing of the artist.  Its great to see Ronnie with his wife and son get to enjoy this honor and hearing clips of his 40 #1 country hits.

"I Can't Help Myself" by the Four Tops spends its 2nd of 2 non consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Its run at #1 was split by "Mr. Tambourine Man" by the Byrds who spent one week at the top of the chart.
"I Can't Get No Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones sits at #2 this week but will reach the top the next week and hold the top spot for the next 4 weeks.

Rocketman Trailer #1 (2019) |

Hot on the heels of "Bohemian Rhapsody" comes the story of Elton John with "Rocketman" due to hit theaters the Friday after Memorial Day (May 31st).
I am not sure about Richard Madden who plays Elton John in this telling of his story of fame and failure and resurrection into the spotlight.  I will have to reserve judgement until watching the entire movie but from the trailer (below) I don't know about the singing, sounds a little off.  Then again Elton is a spectacular voice and is hard to replicate, however I think Justin Timberlake would have been a tremendous choice.   Check out the trailer below.
