This song would stay at #1 for 6 consecutive weeks and was the #1 song of 1970 was most successful song ever in the UK.

Oh Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison

This would be Roy's 2nd #1 single in the US on the Hot 100, where it spent 3 consecutive weeks in the top spot in September and October.

It was his 3rd #1 single on the UK Top 40 chart where it spent 3 non consecutive weeks at the top in October/November of 1964

The song would sell over 7 million copies and had sold over 500,000 in just a few months after its release.

Crazy - Gnarls Barkley


This was the bestselling single in the UK for 2006.  It went to #1 on the Official UK Top 40 and stayed there for 9 weeks.  This was the first single to top the UK chart on download sales only.   
"Crazy" reached one million downloads in 2011.

UK Million Seller 1960

In 1960 only one song sold a million copies in the UK.

It's Now or Never - Elvis Presley


Elvis spent 8 weeks atop the UK Official Chart with "It's Now or Never" and it was his biggest selling single of all time with over 25 million copies worldwide.  This entered the UK Chart at #1 on November 3rd 1960.  Rereleased in January 2005 it once again went to #1 in the UK, this time for a single week.

This was Engelbert's second #1 in the UK in 1967.  He also had the #1 single of all 1967 with "Release Me", which spent 7 consecutive weeks at #1 in March.  This gave him 2 of the 3 songs with the most weeks at the top in 1967 with #1 and #3.  
The #2 song was the Beatles "Hello,Goodbye" also with 7 weeks at #1.
