This was the last of 12 #1 singles for the Supremes but also the last official #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 for the 1960s.
Originally not a Supremes single, this was to be Diana Ross' first solo single release but as such was released as Diana Ross and The Supremes even though only Diana herself sang on the record.

This final song from the Supremes also went to #1 on the Billboard R & B Chart (4 consecutive weeks) as well as reaching #13 on the UK Top 40.

At the top of the Billboard album chart for one week this soundtrack to the 1968 NBC television special was the joining of 2 Motown musical giants.   This special featured the groups doing their hits and also singing some of the best of the 1960s music.
This album also reached #1 on the UK album chart in February 1969 and spent 4 weeks on top.
