The last album that would be under the name John Cougar, the next album "Uh-Huh" would be as John Cougar Mellencamp.
This album would put the Indiana native on the track to superstardom and a home on the album and singles charts for the next 10 years and become an instant classic and one of the best rock albums ever.
This album gave the top 40 2 huge singles that are both in the top ten this week in 1982, the mega smash hits of "Jack and Diane" (4 weeks at #1 in October of 1982) and "Hurts So Good" (#2 in July and topped the Cashbox Top 40 list for one week in July).
Also to hit the top 20 from the album was "Hand To Hold on Too" which peaked at #19.
