November 28th 1978


Briefcase Full of Blues by The Blues Brothers is released in the US.  Recorded live when the boys opened for Steve Martin at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles on September 9th 1978.

The album would reach #1 on the Billboard Album chart in February 1979 and went double platinum.

Two singles were released from the album, "Rubber Biscuit" when reached #37 on the Hot 100 and "Soul Man" which made it to #14.
