The 3rd album by Rod Stewart contained 3 singles including this weeks #1 single and its A side hit "Reason To Believe" along with a cover of The Temptations hit "(I Know) I'm Losing You". This album topped both the US and UK Album Charts during the same weeks and "Maggie May" also topped the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Top 40 at the same time, making Rod Stewart the first artist to accomplish this feat.
Rod Stewart was still the lead singer of the group Faces during this time and they all played on the album but due to contractual problems the credits are vague as too actually performed on what songs.
To the point this was a Rod Stewart album but it was a Faces project.
