Bob Newhart would be the only comedian to with the Grammy for Best New Artist and this was the first comedy LP to win album of the year.
The album would spend 14 non consecutive weeks in the #1 spot on the Billboard chart, trading the spot with Kingston Trio, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.
