The best selling album of 1985 and the most successful tv soundtrack of all time, the soundtrack to very popular and at the time hip tv show "Miami Vice" starring Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas.
Airing on NBC from 1984-1989 the show was cutting edge in its use of current pop/rock songs as part of the soundtrack of the show and launched some big hits on the charts.

The main title theme composed and played by Jan Hammer, went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for one week in November of 1985.

Another song to off the album reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, Glenn Frey's "You Belong to the City". This was written specifically for "Miami Vice".
