Metal Fact

If you’ve ever laid awake at night tossing and turning and wondering who sold more albums, Def Leppard or Poison, then fret no more! The answer is right here (well, on Billboard.com). Although both bands predate the Nielsen SoundScan album sales data that went active in ’91, since that time, Poison has sold 6,058,000 albums in the U.S. (their best seller: Greatest Hits 1986-1996). Sounds like a lot, but Def Leppard has more than doubled that number in sales. Since 1991, Def Lep has sold 16,566,000 albums; its best-seller is 1995's Vault - Greatest Hits 1980-1995.
