#1 Song of the Week

Today's #1 song is for what would have been 67th birthday of the "quiet" Beatle George Harrison.
Born Feb 25th in Liverpool England he would go on to meet Paul McCartney at his school and in turn would be introduced to John Lennon and form the Quarrymen as teenagers and the rest, as they say, is history.
This #1 song is "Got My Mind Set on You" and its the 3rd and last of song of George's that would top the Billboard Hot 100. It reached the top spot January 16th 0f 1988 and spent one week at #1.
The song was a 1962 song by James Ray and George had wanted the Beatles to cover it but they passed each time. In 1987 George released it as a single from his top 10 album "Cloud Nine" and was considered his best album since "All Things Must Pass" in 1970.
