Today is the anniversary of the passing of country music legend Louis Marshall "Grandpa" Jones. He died this day in 1998 and left a legacy of good old hillbilly music and comedy.
Born in 1913 he was became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1947 and will be forever remembered from the classic tv staple "HEE HAW" in the late 60s thru 1992 when it was canceled.
